An art magazine and curatorial space, Reg’Art documents, archives and champions contemporary African art and that of its diasporas.
Mission
Reg’Art is an independent magazine and curatorial space dedicated to contemporary African art. Rooted in Kinshasa, it develops a sovereign visual thinking and builds a reference archive of the major figures of Africa and its diasporas. Reg’Art does not comment on art: it documents its memory and its authority.
Works documented in high definition, with their labels, available at any time.
Each essay places the work within its lineage and its time.
A reading of contemporary African art from the Kinshasa scene.

Much of contemporary African art is made without leaving a lasting trace. Reg’Art was created to change that: a magazine, an archive, a perspective rooted in Kinshasa.

Exhibition I
Coffee and charcoal, mandombe signs and the geometry of the lukasa, bleach on black textile: three Congolese practices in which the material itself carries memory. The exhibition brings together three ways of holding an image, between impasto, archive and subtraction.
Our perspective
We turn works into living archives, accessible from Kinshasa to the whole world.
