Curatorial
Scenographic experimentation, dialogues between works and visual journeys.
Reg’Art conceives its online exhibitions as true hangs: works placed in dialogue, labels, a curatorial text. Each exhibition then joins the digital archive.
Exhibition I
Online exhibitions5 works3 artists
With Jessy Dunga, Benjamin Mbenga, Eli Made.
Coffee and charcoal, mandombe signs and the geometry of the lukasa, bleach on black textile: three Congolese practices in which the material itself carries memory. The exhibition brings together three ways of holding an image, between impasto, archive and subtraction.
Exhibition II
Online exhibitions6 works4 artists
With VELMO, Adedamola Onadeko, Iman Hassan, Merry Masheka.
Staged photography, plant collage, digital composition, diaspora painting: four artists construct the image rather than submit to it. An exhibition on the sovereignty of the subject and the theatricality of the gaze.
