Adedamola Onadeko orchestrates a hybrid visual language in which collage, painting and digital assemblage revolve around the plant motif. Raised to a system of thought, the flower ceases to be mere ornament and becomes a fluid of memory, an anatomical vessel in which identity and remembrance are inscribed.
Onadeko’s work dissects the way body, mind and landscape metabolise human experience. Through a surgical layering of textures and figures, Onadeko gives form to processes of inner mutation: the canvas becomes the ground for a symbiosis between individual metamorphosis, social constraints and the reclaiming of the self.
